Finishes

Honed

Similar to polished finish, the softened finish also makes the materials smooth and totally smooth, although it does not show the shine that is recognized in the polished finish. The surface of the materials becomes more dull and then shows its true color, being considered comfortable and welcoming.

Sandblasting / Sand blasting

This finish is achieved by blasting silica sand against the surface of the stone. It is characterized by highlighting the color of the material, for being anti slip and semi rough. Being less rough than the bush-hammered finish and more irregular to the touch than brushed. It then becomes flat and very suitable for paving, and also used in shower trays and non-slip strips.

Bujardado

The bush-hammered finish is suitable for floors and outdoor areas, being this rough, anti slip and maybe one of the most traditional finishes. It is characterized by making the materials slightly whitish and homogenizing the color variation, as well as blurring possible fossils and veins.

Aged or Brushed

This finish is sometimes referred to as aged or brushed, is characterized by the wear of the stone surface with the use of brushes that cause a small roughness in order to allow anti-adherence. Different wear intensities will result, in turn in different finishes. Often used in pool coverings and flooring.

Scarce

It is a finish that is done through manual work, named by: scant. This should be done on materials from 5cm thick, because with the wear the thickness will reduce more or less 2cm. The surface will have a rough and uneven texture. Usage is more suited to exterior cladding than to flooring.

Sponged Manually

This finishing is done manually, using a thick tooth pointer. The texture of it, it is rough and has more depth in the hammered cavities than the worn finish.

Natural

This is the most natural finish, characterized by a more or less rough and irregular appearance, depending on the texture of the chosen stone. Can be achieved through manual cleavage with specific tools or through pneumatic mechanization.

Polished

The polished stones, have a special shine and highlight features such as color, the grain and the grain. This is a very elegant finish, that conveys the beauty and refinement of natural stone. The polished finish, is used indoors, how come: walls, floors, kitchen countertops, dishwasher, bathroom countertops, and washbasins. All surfaces with this finish are smooth, flat and resistant.

Scratched

This finish has a unique texture, rough and scratched, this is achieved with the use of a specific cutter and for other types of finishing it takes more time to execute. It is a possible highlight in terms of design.
